About Dr. Farida Khan

Dr. Farida Khan completed her SSC from A K High School, Dhaka in 1990 and HSC from Begum Badrunnesa Govt. Women College in 1992. She obtained her MBBS from MAG Osmani Medical College, Sylhet in 2000, followed by FCPS (Gynaecology and Obstetrics) from BCPS, Dhaka in 2010. She has over 25 years of working experience in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of women's diseases, especially those dealing with the female reproductive system. She is vastly trained in performing gynaecologic surgeries, including diagnostic and emergency procedures. Dr. Farida Khan has performed over eleven thousand surgeries in the diagnosis and treatment of gynaecologic problems, including exploratory laparotomy, dilation and curettage, hysterectomy, oophorectomy, tubal ligation, non-descended vaginal hysterectomy, and other surgical procedures — along with management of normal and complicated pregnancy, delivery, and the postpartum period. She has outstanding ability to provide care with emphasis on a holistic approach, treating the female patient as a physical, emotional, and social being. She has conducted seminars surrounding the topic of reproductive health care and continues to be a dedicated advocate for women's health in Bangladesh.
